Catching Up - Continued
Tim walked out the door with suitcase in hand. He'd be gone ten days in Mexico with our youth group on a missions trip. I sat in my bed with tears streaming down my face already missing my husband and wondering how I was going to survive with a newborn and preschooler. Gabrielle was 5 weeks at the time. So, we packed up. Oh, yes we packed up what seemed to be the entire house and headed over to Mimi and Papa's for a few days.
Samuel slept well after hours of fun on the trampoline.
And so we survived the 10 days without Daddy. It was worth the sacrifice when heaven touches earth. Please link to Amanda's blog to read some awesome testimonies of God at work! You'll be amazed!!!

Sweet Sleep!!!
So, the hold me all day long thing is sweet but getting old. Samuel is wondering if Gabrielle has become permanently attached to my body. He is now spending 2 mornings a week at Katie Care thanks to my generous mother. Gabrielle's reflux is somewhat better but not completely.
So today we are starting some sleep training. Wish me luck!!!

Sharp as a butter knife?
Michelle aka butter knife here. Last night I was attempting to have a somewhat intellectual conversation with my hubby. I'll leave out the details to spare myself the humiliation. We used to do that quite often when we first met. Theological debates being an all time favorite. However, my brain cells have succumbed to the stay-at-home-mom syndrome. It's either that or my children sucked them out of me in utero and I don't think they plan to give them back. Sure I'm an expert at diapers and nursing but beyond that it gets fuzzy. It often takes me several days, or should I say weeks, to find out what's going on in the world. I know I can't do my times table anymore and I am totally calculator dependent. Now, my hubby on the other hand has the brain power of ten being the scientist that he is. He can tell you all about CD4 t-cell response to influenza and can even balance our checkbook in his head.
So, I'm wondering can you sharpen a butter knife and if so how?
