Sharp as a butter knife?

Michelle aka butter knife here. Last night I was attempting to have a somewhat intellectual conversation with my hubby. I'll leave out the details to spare myself the humiliation. We used to do that quite often when we first met. Theological debates being an all time favorite. However, my brain cells have succumbed to the stay-at-home-mom syndrome. It's either that or my children sucked them out of me in utero and I don't think they plan to give them back. Sure I'm an expert at diapers and nursing but beyond that it gets fuzzy. It often takes me several days, or should I say weeks, to find out what's going on in the world. I know I can't do my times table anymore and I am totally calculator dependent. Now, my hubby on the other hand has the brain power of ten being the scientist that he is. He can tell you all about CD4 t-cell response to influenza and can even balance our checkbook in his head.

So, I'm wondering can you sharpen a butter knife and if so how?

lol :) You're so funny, Michelle! I know exactly what you mean. I am supposed to be keeping up with all this tax-credit paperwork (government paperwork every day - I have such a fun job!) Sometimes I wonder what has happened to me. When I was pregnant the midwife said the problem was the placenta - it makes your brain slow. I don't know what to blame it on anymore!

Sometimes I feel the same way after a few seven or eight hours on the computer at work. My brain has a hard time moving from the right side where all the creative juices live to the logical side.
