On second thought...

maybe we shouldn't find her a new home.

Yes, those are clothes pins...take a closer look.

What cat would let you do this to her? I think she's just so desperate for attention. Or maybe she's trying to redeem herself for scratching the heck out of Amanda while babysitting a few weeks ago. Whatever the reason, it's pretty funny.

Chicken "Not So" Little Needs A Home!

According to yesterday's comments, y'all like my cat.
(She is rather photogenic, isn't she?)

And many of you seem like the kind hearted, nurturing, be nice to animals types. So let me pull on your heart strings for a moment.

Chicken "Not So" Little needs a home!

Yes, our sweet and rather plump kitty is not happy. She was pampered, played with and got lots of good ole kitty cat lovin' until Samuel arrived and wrecked her world. After a few months and some animal therapy (just kidding), she adjusted to her new place in the family. She and Samuel eventually became buddies.

Life was good again until that dreaded day when the stork dropped Gabrielle on our doorstep. Chicken once again had her world turned upside down.

She gets fed but not necessarily when she wants. We forget to give her her kitty cat laxative (this is important when you are 11 years old). She can't find a lap to sit on because who has time to sit in this household? And Samuel thinks she likes pillow fights and leap frog. Not her idea of fun as evidenced by the hissing and scratching.

She's plainly unhappy! And we must find a home before someone gets hurt - either the cat or my son. Do any of you know of a person/family without children that could give her a home?

Oh, please say yes, please!!!

A Tribute To Our Cat

She's quirky, a bit over weight, annoying at times, has beautiful eyes and responds to her name even though it's ridiculous. This is our cat, Chicken.

Her name was once Korky. Sometimes we call her Chicken Liver (when she's naughty). Every once in awhile we call her Chix, to build her self-esteem. Samuel just calls her Cat. I think she has as many personalities as she has names. Some of you reading this have experienced her bad attitude. Some of you might think she's just the sweetest thing. Well, I guess to us she's somewhere in between but we love her none the less. She is exceptional with Samuel. He counts all her body parts and tries to ride her like a horse. And every once in awhile she'll even let you stack foam letters on her head one at a time. What a great cat!
