It's been tough lately. Long hours at work (and I mean long, like 12-16 hour days) trying to get things squared away before baby arrives. A PhD hanging in the balance. The more he gets done, the faster we'll be done with this phase of life. An upcoming out-of-state interview for a post-doctoral position. Needless to say I've not seen much of my husband lately. Samuel's sleep has been questionable and I'm 35 weeks pregnant.
Am I tired? You bet!
Am I a bit lonely? You bet!
Am I running out of steam? You bet!
Have I talked Courtney's ear off? You bet!
In walks my husband 3 hours late last night with a rose, a York Peppermint Patty and some biscotti to eat with our decaf coffee while watching American Idol. His first words were, "I really missed you today." And I knew he meant it!
What a good man!

Oh Michelle!
I understand the lonely part, well all of it really, but it's amazing how all the friends in the world cannot replace the company that a husband brings.
I hope this tough season passes quick! Soon your arms will be doubly full... SO excited for you!

It's nice to miss and be missed, isn't it? J and I tell each other all the time how me miss each other when we're apart. Being lonely when he's gone is hard, but it's so nice to appreciate each other when he's back (or when you are).
Yippee for Tim! Praying for you guys (to stay put) Oops! Did I just say that? I meant praying for you and God's leading in your lives!
We are praying for you too! Tim will land an awesome job there's not doubt about it. We LOVE you MICHELLE!
What a guy...you guys have been going at such a pace...his timing seemed perfect! Oh, and I concur with what Courtney said about you guys staying...:)!
Awww Michelle...I'm sorry you are lonely, that makes me sad. I would be glad to keep you company anytime.
A peppermint patty, rose, and biscotti...what a sweet hubby you have!
